On December 7, 1958, teachers and students at an elite school in Colombo, Sri Lanka, embarked on a journey to build better community through shramadana, the gift of labor. The service project flourished into the Sarvodaya Shramadana Movement. The Movement supports millions of people in Sri Lanka and inspires millions of others to join in non-violence, service and compassionate action.
To mark the Sarvodaya Movement's remarkable work, Sarvodaya USA is launching 50/50 campaign - 50 gatherings and house parties in 50 States in the U.S. Would you help?
If each gathering had 10 people who contributed $50 to $100 each, think of the impact we could have!
If you could host an event contact us, we will send a simple list of suggestions and tools to make the experience more meaningful.
