Income to the Communities
Your money will go directly to the
host family, Village Society, locally-employed staff and, in some
cases, the Sarvodaya District Centre and Headquarters.
At the village level, it will be up to the Village Society to decide
how their income is used to develop village facilities. At the
District and HQ levels, any income will indirectly support the
communities by directly supporting Sarvodaya’s ongoing costs such as
staffing, training, management development, transport,
communication, information technology etc.
Each year, Sarvodaya will publish details of how all CTI-related
income has been spent.
Enhancing community skill
The CTI presents many members of our communities with the
opportunity to develop new skills by working on one of our projects.
It is important that we provide professional training for those who
host our visitors. A training manual is being developed in
association with experts from the Austrian NGO, Hilfswerk Austria,
and training will cover such areas as
housekeeping, food preparation, hygiene, local marketing and health
& safety. Each person directly involved with a CTI project will
receive appropriate training and a certificate to recognize their
training. |
